I am completely guilty of not finishing a variety of games. Let’s see, there’s Dead Space, Kirby’s Epic Yarn, Animal Crossing, Banjo Kazooie, and probably more. While these games are fun I just don’t have time to play as much as I would like. As the article points out the average gamer is increasing in age, which means more responsibilities and less time in front of the TV or computer. On average, only about 10% of gamers actually finish any given game, with a 40-50% completion rate. So what is the solution, shorter games perhaps? I will admit I am more likely to play something that can be easily picked back up. I like fighting games such as Mortal Kombat or Marvel vs. Capcom that can be played alone or with a friend. I like timed puzzle games, such as Brain Age, that can be played quickly while also being challenging.
What are some games you have started and never finished? What is the longest you have spent playing a game, if you can even remember?!
